Hyper Training is a method of training a Pokémon to raise one or more of its IVs.[1][2]
Details
Hyper Training is started for a Pokémon by using either a
Silver Bottle Cap or a
Gold Bottle Cap once the Pokémon has reached Good Buddy status or higher. When selecting a trainee Pokémon, the Trainer can choose which stats they would like to raise and by how much. Silver Bottle Caps can only raise a single stat, while Gold Battle Caps can raise all three stats. Once Hyper Training is started, the trainee will be given a series of Training Tasks.[3] Completing these tasks will award the trainee with an increase to one of its IVs.
Once started, Hyper Training Tasks last for 365 days.
Shadow Pokémon cannot undergo Hyper Training.
Hyper Trained Pokémon cannot be sent to Pokémon HOME, but can be sent to Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! if the trainee is an eligible species. Hyper Trained Pokémon sent this way will use their increased IVs for the IV conversion calculation during the transfer process.[4]
