Form Change — pokemongo

Form change is a game mechanic that allows certain Pokémon to change their form by using certain amounts of Candy and Stardust.

Changing the form of a Pokémon

To change a form of a Pokémon, player needs to:

select a Pokémon which can change form from their Pokémon collection page
in Pokémon's summary page, tap on the Change Form button.
in the forms list, selected the desired form and then tap on the Change Form button.
read the message "Are you sure you want to change Pokémon from its Current Form to New Form?", and tap on the Change Form button.

Form Change costs

Pokémon normally requires certain amounts of Candy and Stardust to change form.

In the case of Zygarde, the first time it changes to each form requires a certain amount of Zygarde Cells.
For Zacian and Zamazenta, once they have had their form change once, that specifc Zacian or Zamazenta then can have its form be changed without using Crowned Sword Energy or Crowned Shield Energy.^[1]

Battle-Only Form

Some Pokémon have Battle-Only Forms. These forms are transformations that occur during Trainer Battles and Team GO Rocket battles when specific conditions are met.

Shield Forme Aegislash	Blade Forme Aegislash	Aegislash changes to Blade Forme when it uses a Charged Attack and changes to Shield Forme when it uses a Protect Shield or is switched out. In Shield Forme, Aegislash has a unique charging animation to replace its fast attack.
